The Dining Room

The dining room has a set of beautiful windows to the north and east.  We added the wainscoting to match the existing fireplace mantle.  The antique crystal chandelier was moved from our previous home. Originally this fixture used candles and we had it professionally electrified.  This is the only room in the house with plaster cove ceilings.

The fireplace surround has historic Batchelder tiles and a deep mantel which is a pleasure to decorate. The original Canadian beech floors have been preserved. The deep burgundy/mauve Oriental rug is a family heirloom.
